Anna 2nd year massage therapy intern

Modern care & healing through precision

My name is Anna and I’m in 2nd years massage therapy intern. It all started with the thought of wanting to care for people after I survived and returned from my cancer treatment. Because during my cancer treatment, I had to massage by myself to my head, fingertips, toes and muscles to reduce the numbness in my body from radiation and chemotherapy. I also had to do gentle exercises to help my body be flexible and resilient. Now I want to do that for everyone. Whether you are healthy or have underlying health conditions, please take care and be gentle and patient with your body every day. Please let Anna help you do that.

Don’t worry about pricing or insurance. There are over billion peoples out there have low income, sometime have no job, but they still save money to take good care for the body and go to have a massage few a month.  If you see these words and don’t have a massage yet, please book an appointment now and enjoy. Good service, good healing and environment. You will follow a sleep well there.

Swedish Massage – unsupervised

Swedish massage therapy is often considered the foundation of massage practice. Known for its relaxation and stress-relieving effects, it also serves as an excellent tool to improve circulation.

  1. Understanding Swedish Massage: Swedish massage employs a variety of strokes and techniques to manipulate the muscles and soft tissues of the body. The primary goal is to promote relaxation and improve blood circulation. The techniques used in Swedish massage are designed to work with the body's lymphatic system and cardiovascular system, promoting the disposal of metabolic waste and enhancing oxygen and nutrient supply to the tissues.

  2. Techniques of Swedish Massage: There are five primary techniques used in Swedish massage:

    • Effleurage: These are long, gliding strokes generally used at the start and end of the massage. The purpose is to warm up the muscles, increase blood circulation, and initiate relaxation.

    • Petrissage: This technique involves kneading, rolling, and lifting the muscles, aiding in the further release of muscle tension and promoting deeper relaxation.

    • Friction: Deep, circular movements that cause layers of tissue to rub against each other. This helps increase blood flow and break down scar tissue.

    • Tapotement: Rhythmic tapping using the fists or cupped hands to energize and stimulate the muscles.

    • Vibration: Quick shaking motions to loosen up the muscles and promote relaxation and stress relief.

Therapeutic Massage – fully supervis ed

In massage science, therapeutic massage is the manual manipulation of soft tissues to address specific health concerns, such as pain, muscle tension, and injury recovery. Unlike general relaxation massage, it uses a combination of techniques like Swedish, deep tissue, and trigger point therapy, tailored to an individual's specific needs and goals to improve physical and mental well-being.

Key aspects of therapeutic massage in science:

  • Targeted treatment: It is focused on a specific condition or ailment, such as chronic pain, migraines, arthritis, or recovery from an injury.

  • Mechanism of action:

    • Musculoskeletal: Techniques like kneading and friction stretch and release muscle fibers, improving circulation, flexibility, and range of motion.

    • Nervous system: It helps activate the body's parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and slowing heart rate and breathing.

    • Endorphin release: The process stimulates the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers, which improves mood and well-being.

  • Combination of techniques: A therapist may combine various techniques from different modalities to create a personalized treatment plan. Examples include:

  • Holistic benefits: Beyond physical relief, therapeutic massage aims to improve overall wellness by reducing stress, improving sleep, and enhancing the body's natural healing capacity.
